Funds raised from the Queens Platinum Celebrations

One of the many great positives from the Woodmansey celebrations for her late Majesty was the fund raising for local charities, and last night at The Warton Arms in Woodmansey, cheques were presented to representatives from Abbie Fund Abbie’s Fund – Memory Boxes for Hull Women and Children’s Hospital (abbiesfund.co.uk) and St Peters Church

A total of £3,132.50 was raised for Abbies Fund, made up of £2,782.50 from sponsorship at the Woodmansey Gala, and a Community Grant from Woodmansey Parish Council of £350

A total of £1,342.50 was raised for St Peter’s Church Woodmansey, made up of £1,192.50 from sponsorship at the Woodmansey Gala and a Community Grant from Woodmansey Parish Council of £150

A total of £4,475.00 was raised – a wonderful legacy of the Woodmansey celebratory weekend, and a fitting tribute to Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth 11.  Well done to everyone involved and all their herculean efforts in making all this such a success.
