As part of the D-Day celebrations which commenced on the 6th June at the Village Hall, on Saturday 8th June, Councillors from the Parish Council joined celebrations at the Warton Arms and then to finish the weekend of remembrance, a service of commemoration was held at St Peters Church on the Sunday 9th June.
