I’m relatively a new resident to the Parish after taking ownership of the Happy Hounds dog boarding business on Long Lane in November 2019. Since this time, I’ve been truly humbled by the warm welcome received from our neighbours and the local community that entrust us to look after their beloved pets. Before moving to Woodmansey and fulfilling my lifelong dream of working fulltime with dogs, I ran a small but successful marketing consultancy and my own dog grooming business in the Midlands – which followed 25 plus years working in senior marketing management, for a large multinational corporate business. As a small, independent local business owner with daily face to face contact with customers, many of whom are Parish residents, I listen and empathise about the shared challenges we all face in the local community.
Whilst I’m passionate about animals and the environment, I’ve come to this role with an open mind, and I’d like to think of myself as a pragmatic individual with a strong sense of purpose and integrity. I believe my professional experience and hands-on approach to life can positively contribute to help Woodmansey Parish remain a safe, healthy, and happy place for people to live, work, learn and visit and I look forward to supporting the diverse needs of the parish.
