Hull 4 Heroes and SSAFA Visit Woodmansey Parish Council

At our October Parish Council meeting, Cllrs welcome a number of visitors

We started with visitors from two veterans’ charities, Hull 4 Heroes and SSAFA to receive donations raised at the Parish Council celebrations to commemorate the D-Day Landings in 1944.  A total of £476.91 was raised and split between the two charities.

Paul Matson and Helen Skinner representing Hull 4 Heroes commented, “It was a pleasure to share more about our mission to support veterans. We truly appreciate the donation, which will help us continue our vital work. Partnerships like these strengthen our ability to make a real difference in the lives of those who have served our country.  From us all at team Hull 4 Heroes thank you all so much”.

David Elvidge, representing SSAFA East Yorkshire commented, “the charity is always grateful for the opportunity to work with organisations based in the community we serve. The funds raised will be used to enable our long-standing commitment, to work to do all we can, supporting veterans, serving personnel, their families and dependents throughout Hull and the East Riding. For anyone who would like to support us and volunteer, or someone who would like our assistance please get in touch, Call: 020 4566 9117 or Email: northeast.region@ssafa.org.uk”
