The Parish Council is looking to install ‘Welcome Gateways’ at the following locations
- Dunswell Lane
- Long Lane
Gateways are used by Parish and Town Councils to create an attractive, highly visible display for signage, perfect
for approaches to towns and villages or entrance areas. A gateway is also ideal as a sign or notice feature for displaying important information for road users and pedestrians.
The proposed gateways for Dunswell Lane and Long Lane will feature speed limit(s), and in the case of Long Lane a reminder the road is still a designated ‘quiet road’, used by pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders
One of the conditions imposed by ERYC for installing Gateways is that the Parish Council must consult with residents on the proposal. Therefore the Parish Council would welcome any questions, thoughts and views from residents on the proposed gateways. The closing date for this is 5pm, Monday, 30th June
